Mark graduated from LaTrobe University in 2005 and has worked in private practice since this time. He has completed post-graduate certificates in many specialty areas including Clinical Pilates, dry-needling, shoulder diagnosis and treatment, and hamstring assessment and rehabilitation. His passion for physiotherapy and the biomechanical workings of the human body, mean that he is continually developing his knowledge.
Before starting the Malvern Physiotherapy Clinic, Mark worked at a sports physiotherapy clinic in Hawthorn. There he developed extensive experience with the rehabilitation of joints after surgery – particularly knee, hip, shoulder and ankle surgery with a mixture of both minor and major surgery, including joint replacements. Mark has had multiple joint surgeries himself including two knee reconstructions from football injuries, which have helped him understand the needs and difficulties of the rehabilitation process. It has been through this focus on rehab after surgery that Mark has developed some excellent relationships with many of Melbourne’s leading surgeons.
Mark’s association with local sports teams is vast and he continues to work with Old Scotch Football Club as their head physiotherapist. He has also worked with VFL representative teams, Victorian premier league soccer clubs, triathlon clubs and performed injury screening for elite school swimming squads.
Mark still tries to keep fit by running and cycling.
