Jo Patterson

Jo completed her Diploma of Remedial Massage with Victoria University in 2016 after swapping from studying BSc Exercise and Sports Science (Exercise Physiology). She has gone on to develop her skills further by undertaking the Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy which she will complete in 2018.

Before starting work as a remedial massage therapist, Jo worked for 4 years as a personal trainer along with a year as strength and conditioning assistant at Essendon Football Club. This has provided her with an excellent insight into the strengthening requirements of the body to help it function optimally. Jo then continued at Essendon Football Club as a Sports Trainer and Remedial Massage Therapist for a further 3 years.

She is accomplished in remedial massage, treating musculoskeletal injuries, myofascial release, pregnancy massage, lymphatic drainage, dry needling, cupping, exercise rehabilitation and more.

Jo has a personal passion and interest in sports injury rehabilitation and injury prevention. She also strongly values working collaboratively with all clients to achieved their goals in alleviating musculoskeletal pain and imbalances. Jo uses a team approach with other therapists to achieve these goals and great outcomes. Her treatment technique is personalised, and holistic through her additional education towards exercises and lifestyle changes when appropriate.
